(Woopsies, edited!)
Elavial's head was throbbing, her neck seemed to have cramped up. And Walter seemed to imply that the only solution was that she was very well capable of handling this by herself. To leave her to it. "That's all well and true, but we have to do something, Walt." She was starting to get angry. Frustrated on how helpless she felt and how calm Walter was being. She stood up and made to walk out the door, looking back at Walter."I can't just sit here and hope she's capable of handling this herself. I refuse." As much conviction she put behind the words, it was accompanied by her sniffiling and her voice still cracking.

Walter more to follow her. "Wait, wait." He reached to catch her arm. "This is assuming I didn't make a mistake. Working for there, did you see something...can we find her? "

Elavial racked her memory, trying to remember any indication of where she can be. "A cell...in a cave? And woods. The wolves may narrow it down?" Now she was just holding onto stray possibilities. She knew it wasn't much. "Your potion. It knew how to find her. Maybe it'll work on a map!"

"Okay, okay." He nodded. "We...we just need a map. Do you want to rest while I go find one? I don't want....it looked painful. You shouldn't...don't push yourself too far too fast. That won't help us. Or her."

"I'll be fine." She lied, the top priority was following this new trail they had opened up. "I'll just...meditate, that always used to help." She shook her hands, trying to relieve tension, feeling frazzled.

"Okay. Drink some water. I'll be...I'll be right back." He gave her hand a squeeze. "Just, do what you need to do."
He returned some 20 minutes later holding a map of the UK. "I had to lie to the librarian and tell it her probalby wouldn't be damaged. I hope it's got enough detail."

"This is perfect." Elavial whispered, peering over the map. Her eyes were stinging and puffed, but she had managed to keep them dry while he was away. She had also removed her pendant necklace, hoping it would work as an indicator on the map.
She rolled it onto the floor, placing her bag, both of her shoes and the scrying glass on its corners to keep it flat. "Whatever is left in me, should do the trick, right?"

"There's more if you need it." He said, looking uncertain. "You know more about your gift than I do."

"Which isn't really much." She looked over the map, trying to see if a place jumped out at her. She took the necklace between her fingers, leaving the pendant dangling over the map and began swinging it over it in a circular motion, trying to cover as much of the map with every swing.
Since the first time took so long, she held unto hope for what seemed like 10 minutes. Her arm was starting to ache from keeping it up and nothing had happened. No burning sensation. No particular area of the map had done anything.
Defeated she slowly drew her arm down.

"Do you want to drink some more?" He looked slightly desperate.

She shifted on her knees. "Yeah, whatever is left."

Walter filled the goblet with the last dregs of the potion and handed it back to her, crossing his fingers for luck.

She made a face this time while drinking it. Still disgusting.
She drew her slightly aching arm over the map once more, circling her pendant over it. She didn't keep count on how long she sat hovering over it, but her arm began to shake. Not because the potion had started working, but she was finding it difficult to keep it up. She decided to switch to her other arm as a last attempt. "Why?" She whispered, staring at the map as if it was willingly denying to help.

"Maybe he made the location unplottable? Or..."Walter cast around or a reason. "Maybe it's not in England at all. Maybe he took her to the continent." His closed fist hit his knee in frustration.
"I should have gotten more than one map..."

She slumped back to the floor, exhausted. "It's fine...I mean...maybe it's just not meant to be."
