Retcon: v., revise (an aspect of a fictional work) retrospectively, typically by introducing a piece of new information that imposes a different interpretation on previously described events.

So in this thread we could discuss things that we want to change retroactively about LoM so far. If they're big, then we can also discuss the implications here and make sure everyone's on the same page.
I only have one suggestion so far: - Moving Otto from one year older to two years older than the main characters. It makes a little more sense, and shouldn't change much of anything otherwise
I was also going to phase out Serenity's crush on Robert from here on out, if no one has an objection. It didn't make much sense for her personality and since it's my own characters it's also not that much story value. Or do you guys think I should keep it?

I'm fine with you phasing it out if you like. It'll save Hayley a modicum of heartache when she gets back. Speaking outside of my character though, it is interesting to give the lonely, grieving Robert some temptation.

Orev/Obsidion and Sophie:
Okay, so in the facebook message I (hayley) originally got from Bekah, Orev was supposed to reveal himself to Sophie during 5th year. Reading back through LoM, he's done it already a few times. I think Bekah probalby just forgot, but since we're being given this chance to change some details of the past four LoM years, I thought this was one of the areas that might need changing.
My idea is simply that the only person who know that Orev used to be Obsidion is Scarlet, and that she's continued, at his request to keep that a secret because Sophie is incredibly fragile and is not known for taking drastic things well. This way he can reveal himself at the time of his choosing and it'll be fresh.
As for Sophie's nightmares and visions, I was never really given clear information on where that was supposed to go, so I may pull back a little on how big they are for a time, she may simply have grown out of them a bit as she got older. Nighterrors are something that affect children, but there doesn't necessarily need to be a magical cause.

Sounds good to me. Orev's history is kinda messy so I'm down with simplifying it. I think I will keep his (violent and messy) relationship with Lanna, though I don't expect to reference it often.
