"Oh! Oh! By the way," Serenity said. "You both have to come to our super-awesome pre-arena house party."
She amended after a glance at Annie, "If you want to. It'd be great if you came."

"A party? You two are always causing trouble I swear." Christopher shook his head and laughed. "I'll be there." He looked expectantly at Sophie, "Soph?"

Scarlet headed down the fifth floor corridor, slightly flustered from her meeting with Esquire. She was falling behind in Arithmancy, not that she'd ever let on due to her embarrassment. She was carrying along some extra books he'd given her to help, but due to their size they were currently being more of a hindrance than a help. Groaning in annoyance, she attempted to balance them more effectively. "It's part of Astoncer's Rules of Associative Ingredients. I've got a book on it if you want to borrow it." Walter finished his monologue as he and his housemate walked along the fifth floor corridor on the way down to the Great Hall. "Don't feel obligated though." "Hey, Scarlet." he saw the girl approaching and, seeing her discomfort under the extra weight asked "need a hand with all that?"

"That sounds great" Sophie said, "what's the dress code on this one?"

"I'd like to Walter," said Mary, "But I always found Astoncer's explanations very hard to follow. He enjoys being mystical for its own sake. Ellison's Five Natures is easier to understand, but I don't think she really covers the subject."
She sighed.
"It's annoying. But I need to complete the work by next week so if I can borrow your book that would be great, thanks. Oh."
She stopped short when she realised her housemate was talking to the Ravenclaw girl.

"Clothes. Although if it gets warm not many." She smiled cheekily and winked at Christopher.

She looked up at the sound of her name, "Hmm? Oh, hey, Walter." She smiled briefly at him and his housemate.
"What, this?" She looked at the books she was carrying, "No, it's..." She tried to protest as 'Arithmetic Focal Points of the 19th Century' started to slide to the left, dangerously close to toppling towards the floor.
She sighed in defeat, "Yes please, if you don't mind."

"You know I'm standing here right," Sophia teased, trying to keep it light. "I'll keep that in mind."
(for the sake of clarity, it's the last week of April)

Walter took a couple off the stack. "I never could make head or tails of this stuff." He commented. "Have you two met?" He wasn't sure. "Mary, this is Scarlet, Scarlet, Mary. You've probably heard me mention her before." The last was directed at Mary.

Christopher just laughed good-naturedly, "I'm sure with enough butterbeers that won't seem such a foreign concept." He grinned mischievously, "Or something a little stronger."
"Unless it's not that kind of party?" He raised an eyebrow, unsure how they'd get the drink in the first place.

"Guys, seriously?" Her tone was shifting closer to annoyance. Light flirting she was beginning to be able to handle, but...continued flirting not so much.

"No I don't think we've met." She would've offered to shake the girl's hand if she wasn't carrying the remainder of the books. "Where were you two off to then?"

She hovered near her in case other books started to slip. So many books. How very Ravenclaw.

"Renny," Annie didn't feel like she need to be explicit in telling her friend to tone it down a little. She mouthed an apology at Sophie, who she remembered vividly as not easily handing her boyfriend being around other girls.
